For María Lafuente, art, culture, innovation, traditions, poetry, nature, and music are intense expressions of the soul that she merges to claim a committed lifestyle. Each one of her creations is born from a dialogue between the individual and the universal, thus expressing her passion for fashion with innovative proposals and social and environmental commitment. 

María Lafuente is an international benchmark for sustainable fashion. Her collections are the result of a dialogue with nature, they are aimed at innovating while protecting the environment. She highlights the urgent need to create, produce, and consume consciously and responsibly. 

She has received awards in various parts of the world and is the first designer to speak and show her work at the highest level International Forum at the UN (HLPF), with the first PEFC-certified collection of sustainable fabrics. 

In this logic comes her collaboration with the association "Lal la Buya". The project aimed at dignifying the lives of women. A non-profit association, formed by women at risk of social exclusion, with difficulties in entering the labor market. 

Likewise, María Lafuente's DNA reflects humanistic values from her beginnings and a clear example of some of her latest collections: 

Fah-Pratan A/W 20 collection showcases Thai handcrafted silk, wool felt from Xalda sheep, and PEFC- certified fabrics. All this with the empowerment of women in the rural world. In addition, this collection is a pioneer in including a dance show with the company of Elías Lafuente. 

Asiduous since 2006 in the Madrid Fashion Week (Fashion Week Madrid), and various catwalks in more than 20 countries. 

She also has proven experience in creating corporate identities, such as the Spanish Olympic Committee and Paradores de España, among others. Realization of costumes for series, cinema, television, and musical shows.
